Maxim Group is led by our Senior Management Group of industry experts and supported by a team of project managers and over 160 support staff. Maxim Group provide an environment that everyone wants to be a part of with a sense of belonging, teamwork, achievement, enjoyment and excitement to all those within.
Paul Murray –
Managing Director
With the overarching role of director in charge, he oversees the long-term strategy and direction of the Maxim Group. Paul has gained a wealth of experience working within the Electrical Contracting Industry. He works very closely with developing strong relationships with both the clientele and supply chain. This is shown by some of the clients having worked with the Maxim business since its start in 1995. He continues to ensure profitability of the business and finding ways to promote others, the company vision, mission and long-term goals. As Managing Director, his objective is to maintain that the company is all working as one and to achieve a common goal.
Tony Ellin –
Operations Director
With a background as an Executive General Manager and other senior management roles, Tony provides 40 years of experience to the Maxim Group. He has developed strong relationships in many fields within the industry, assisting the business to grow. As part of the company’s strength, Tony’s role also involves developing the client relations, strategic planning and day to day operations. He has strong operational and commercial skills, which is paramount in today’s ever-changing environment.
Tony has a Bachelor of Business at University of Monash, and a Masters of Management at the University of Monash.
Kevin Thompson –
Estimating Director
Kevin has a comprehensive understanding of Maxim’s business having been employed by the Company since 2001. His role as Estimating Director also provides the business with a solid database of clients and suppliers of which the company cannot effectively operate without.
Peter Rae –
Project Director
Peter brings 36 years of experience within the electrical construction industry to the business. His role is dynamic, as he is actively involved with the companies OH&S and procurement. He also oversees Major Projects including the orders, labour, financials and client liaisons.

Site Supervisors
All Maxim site supervisors and leadership teams, are leaders in their fields, providing 1st class supervision for each project they oversee. Each of the supervisors bring unique styles of leadership which all projects require.
Office Personnel
This is the heart of the operation, without which the sites cannot operate. All of the back of house administrators and personnel work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that what you see on the field runs as smooth as possible. From accounts to procurement, Maxim staff have all capabilities to provide support for not only the business, but the sites that run day-to-day.
